New opportunity for
scholarships – now!
“Fortunately,
a number of further opportunities for receiving a scholarship have opened up”,
announces Michael Jungmeier.
- Central and Eastern Europe: The
federal state of Carinthia offers two
scholarships of € 6,200 each to applicants for participation in the
MSc programme “Management of Protected Areas”. Further details and
application forms can be found in the most recent newsletter mpa_news_27.
The application period was extended until 31 May.
- Nepal: The Appear programme is
offering one or two scholarships to students from Nepal.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in courses offered in Austria. The
selection of scholarship recipients will take place in mid-June.
Applicants are required to submit a letter of intent, a completed
application form and an articulate CV to
mpa@e-c-o.at. The submission deadline for applications is 31 May.
- Austria: Upon presentation of a training plan,
the AMS (labour market service) will contribute 60-70% of the training
costs for employees who participate in courses aimed at improving
professional qualification. Different rules apply in each individual
federal state. For further information, please contact the AMS

Klagenfurt Days of Protected Areas
Hans-Joachim
Bodenhöfer, director of the programme, welcomes you to the Klagenfurt Days of
Protected Areas. “We trust that you will enjoy your stay in Klagenfurt and the discussions and debates at
the many different meetings.”
This year’s
Days of Protected Areas will take place from 28 June to 1 July at the University of Klagenfurt. The programme, which was
prepared in cooperation with the “Netzwerk
Land”, a network for the
promotion of rural development, consists of international meetings, field trips
and, as the highlight of the event, the presentation of the master theses
completed by the participants in the current MSc programme “Management of
Protected Areas”.
