#UNEARTHED19: Create your own job.
E.C.O. supports the foundation of companies for nature conservation in the 21st century with a new event format.
“#unearthed19 is a new, experimental event format for business start-ups in nature conservation. Innovative companies can help make our blue planet greener. The event will change your biography,” says Markus Setschnagg of the consultancy bettercallmarkus. From November 29 to December 1, Markus and a team of experts will organise a start-up weekend for nature conservation companies. The event will take place at the Makerspace Carinthia in Klagenfurt.
“We need new technologies and processes for tomorrow's nature conservation. This opens up interesting business opportunities for young, committed teams,” says Hanns Kirchmeir. Hanns is an authorised signatory at E.C.O. and responsible for development research. “We want to show the teams technologies and prototypes with great potential”. Among other things, Vanessa Berger will present the prototype for the mobile GIS database system map&go. “map&go is a cool tool for complex mapping work. It has been tested in tough terrain and can now be used internationally,” says Vanessa.
The event is part of an Interreg project and is supported by the Carinthian Economic Development Fund, the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce, the Build! business incubator and the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. E.C.O. acts as a source of ideas and technical companion. The winning team can look forward to an adventure weekend and competent support in implementing the founding idea.
