Klagenfurt Protected Areas Conference 2011 coming up soon
This year’s “Days of Protected Areas” will start on June 28th at Klagenfurt University. International experts in protected areas and representatives from important organisations will meet in Klagenfurt until July 01st to exchange their experience and share their expertise. The programme was drawn up in cooperation with Netzwerk Land and includes international meetings, excursions and the presentation of diploma papers of the participants of the current MSc course “Management of Protected Areas”.

New Book on Protected Area Management
Volume 2 of the series “Proceedings in the Management of Protected Areas” has been published recently under the title “People, Parks and Money – Stakeholder involvement and regional development: a manual for protected areas”. The book deals with regional development and stakeholder involvement along the “life-cycle” of protected areas with a special focus on the European perspective of managing protected areas.
